Vacuum buying guide
Where to start – Upright or Barrel?
Upright vacuum cleaners with powerful suction and brush action can lift carpet pile and remove deeply embedded dirt and grit that lesser machines leave behind. The “community of environmentally friendly carpets” in Aachen point out that carpets should be groomed with upright vacuum cleaners or electric power heads. Well-known carpet manufacturers recommend SEBO products. Flat squeezed pile and heavy traffic areas can be avoided by regular use of upright cleaners. By choosing the correct vacuum you can enjoy your carpet much longer.
SEBO offers for some of its canister models, a powerful and high-quality electric power head. See SEBO K3 Premium.
Practical Functions
The innovative SEBO technique is not only tested in a theoretical environment but also in a practical environment. SEBO makes every effort to make the cleaning processes easier such as the soft bumper which protects the power head against any knock, the electronic controls which identifies
the floor and the height of the carpet nap, raising or lowering the brush automatically and of course its unique flexibility and agility.
You can’t go past a vacuum cleaner that:
- is light
- is quiet
- is easy to manoeuvre over both carpet and hard surfaces
- has a long cord, so you’re not forever changing power points
- has a neat compact design for easy storage.
Ease of Use
- Ergonomic handle: This lets you comfortably grip the handle giving you the greatest control for speed and direction reducing fatigued featured on all SEBO vacuums.
- Sealable disposable bag: No ‘dust blow back’ upon debris disposal is ideal for sufferers of Asthma or Allergies. SEBO’s patented sealable debris disposal system is standard in both their Domestic and Commercial Vacuums. You are more likely to experience dust blow back and unhygienic debris disposal with cloth bag or bagless vacuums.
- Service Kits: Washing filters is a messy and unhygienic job, mostly taking 1-2 days for filters to dry and your vacuum’s ‘out of action’. SEBO provides quick and easy service kits for year round optimum performance of your vacuum. No vac ‘down time’ means your SEBO is always ready for the job. SEBO Service Kits include filter bags, micro hygiene filter and exhaust filter.
- Adjustable head height: This feature’s useful if you have carpets with different pile heights and for wooden or tiled floors. SEBO vac’s provide deep carpet cleaning and hard floor surface cleaning across the range.
- Variable suction/power: A control on the wand/machine that allows you to vary the suction for more delicate jobs such as cleaning fine curtains and ornaments. Featured on all SEBO Barrels and the SEBO Felix Upright.
Convenience
- Dustbag-full indicator: Lets you know when the dust bag is full without having to open the vacuum.
- Onboard storage for accessories: Handy when you are cleaning edges, upholstery and dusting furniture whilst vacuuming. Every item has a place limiting lost items.
- Wand storage: Allows the wand to be attached neatly to the SEBO when storing. This is useful for keeping all the bits together and not falling out the cupboard door.
- Quick release cord: This is provides quick access to the vacuum for those untimely jobs.
Little extras that can make a difference
- Tools: Tools such as a crevice nozzle (for narrow corners and around chair cushions), an upholstery brush (for curtains and soft furnishings) and a dusting brush can be very handy. SEBO has a tool available for any job. See Accessories for more information.
- S-Class filtration: The term S-Class-Filtration refers to the dust emission value of the whole device and is not equivalent with the term
S-Class-Filter that is defined in DIN 24184. This standard refers only to the filter media not to the actual filtration capacity of the vacuum cleaner. Inadequate density of the device cannot be compensated by the S-Class-Filtration. Referring to the DIN 24184 S-Class-Filter particles of the size 0,3 to 0,5 µm have to come off well by 99,97%. Individual measured data cannot be worse than 99,92%. The SEBO FELIX/DART, SEBO AUTOMATIC X/XP, SEBO PROFESSIONAL G, SEBO AIRBELT K3 and SEBO AIRBELT C met these standards.
SEBO cleans the air you breathe as well as the floors you walk on!
- Power vs turbo head: A power head replaces the standard cleaning head and has an inbuilt motor that operates the brush. Using a powerhead improves dirt removal from carpets, whereas a turbo head (which uses airflow to operate the extra brush) is usually less effective. A standard cleaning head (or gulper tool) just skims the surface of the carpet failing to remove the embedded dirt and grit which causes premature carpet wear. Well-known carpet manufacturers recommend carpets be maintained with a SEBO vacuum that features a powerhead for deep-down fibre cleaning.
